DimensionsThe Allegiance-class was similar in appearance to both the, and Star Destroyers, but was larger than all of them, reaching a length of 2,200 meters. Unlike the Victory and the Imperial, the Allegiance-class lacked ventral hangar bays.

Like fellow hangarless models such as the Procursator and, the model could seemingly only rely on its own exterior ordnance, as the Allegiance appeared to be unable to carry any or ground vehicles internally. The terraced dorsal superstructure that surrounded the Allegiance's bridge tower was far smoother than those on the Imperial-class, allowing for better armor coverage and less exposure of the inter-plate surfaces. Offensive and defensive systemsCaptain Piett and Admiral Ozzel with three Allegiance-class battlecruisers among a fleet. Visible are the outermost dorsal batteries on the port side of an Allegiance. The Allegiance-class was armed with turreted gun batteries in a similar layout to the dorsal turret guns on the, albeit with an increased number of guns, six instead of four, due to its larger frame. The ship also had several cannons situated on the mid-axis of the vessel, similar to the batteries located on the mid-axis of the Imperial-class models, as well as 3 similar batteries on each side of the ship.

Propulsion systemsThe Allegiance-class battlecruiser had a visible armored reactor bulge on the ventral side of the superstructure, similar to the Imperial and the Victory-class. Due to scale, it was more massive than on these contemporary Star Destroyers. Bridge towerThe command tower was T-shaped, like the modular towers produced for many designs. It was put in full view of enemy vessels, which made it an easy target for mass-bombardment by an enemy. The Allegiance's tower included a visible section that stood out from the rest of the tower, similar to the bridge sections on the and the. The tower was capped by geodesic domes, like on other contemporary Imperial warships. End of serviceBy the time following the, any ships of the Allegiance-class had presumably all been destroyed or retired, as both the and the put their naval focus on smaller, lighter designs and no major powers in the galaxy used Super Star Destroyers anymore due to their expensive upkeep. A number of unique vessels appeared in this series and, with the appearance of the Allegiance-class being relatively consistent. At one point, the audio book version of Dark Empire calls these vessels both ' Imperial-class destroyers' and 'Super Star Destroyers,' with the appearance in the corresponding comic panel matching what would become known as the Allegiance-class. Because of the above mentioned dialogue, fans initially assumed the Allegiance belonged to a Super Star Destroyer line called the Imperial-class.The most recent canonical incarnation of the design originated as a detailed fan-made 3D model by, who based his design on the Allegiance from. When approached by to provide artwork for The Essential Guide to Warfare, Hsiao submitted his own designs in addition to new models, along with their names.

The names were recorded in LFL's.Ansel Hsiao's model. The use of 'heavy' in the class-name on his gallery, was Hsiao's own invention. According to him, it is not part of the canonical name which was submitted to the Lucas Licensing continuity database. On his Tumblr account detailing endnote trivia in The Essential Guide to Warfare, noted the name as officially being Allegiance-class battlecruiser, and also explicitly identified the unnamed ships in various panels of Dark Empire II as being the same as the Allegiance-class battlecruisers. In addition, Fry also attributed the name 'Heavy Star Destroyer' as a nickname in canon lore and confirmed that the class's specifications were officially recorded. On a related note, the ship-class' designation was upgraded from a Star Destroyer to a battlecruiser due to the use of the Anaxes War College System that was created for The Essential Guide to Warfare.

The had something similar occur, where its ship designation was changed from Star Battlecruiser to dreadnought.Besides Hsiao's artwork in the book, the design can be seen in another painting,. I say the Covenant cruiser takes this. But a quick question, is this a standard Covenant cruiser or can it be a specific one? Covenant plasma weapons are extreemly powerful and while I don't know if a star destroyer can evade covenant plasma blasts, given their ability to change course to follow a target ship, I don't think a star destroyer will even try to evade them. And if the covenant ship in question has been tweaked the same way Cortana tweaked the one in the third Halo book, then the possibility of evasion probably goes right out the window. This is actually quite the stomp for the Imperial-Class Star Destroyer.Turbolasers are 1000s of times stronger than the standard plasma torpedo, at 200 GIGATONS PER SHOT.

Star Wars Light Cruiser Specifications

That's even stronger than the Super MACs mounted on ODPs! Akta jual beli kereta. I'd think even just ONE or TWO shots will be enough to seriously do some damage to the battlecruiser. And also considering that just a regular ISD has an energy output of a SMALL STAR!Not only does the ISD stomp in firepower, but also in FTL and complements. Hyperspace is undoubtedly faster than slipspace( it takes WEEKS for the pillar of autumn to get from reach to delta halo, and let's not forget that halo takes place in a small arm of the milky way galaxy.

It takes mere HOURS for star wars vessels to get from one side of the galaxy to the other! ISDs have a Class-II hyperdrive sytem, which is pretty fast for a SW ship) Complements? Battlecruisers carry only seraphs and space banshees(which aren't that considering their armor is practically paper mache) for space fighters. ISDs carry 72 TIE-variant fighters, including TIE fighters, TIE bombers, TIE interceptors, and sometimes TIE defenders(and also lambda-class shuttles and gamma-class assault shuttles and delta-class stromtooper transports). All these starfighters have pretty powerful laser cannons(capable of vaporizing asteroids). Along with highly desstructive and accurate weapons, TIE variant fighters rarely are outfitted with combat shielding, the lack of which is a factor in their lightning quick speed and maneuverability. The battlecruiser is at a disadvantage in firepower, FTL capabilities, and inferior fighter class ships. The Imperial-II Star Destroyer claims victory. : im really not sure that a single plasma torpedo has a higher yield than a Super MAC, which is 51 gigatons.

A single (light) turbolaser shot is 59 gigatons(sorry the 200 gigaton yield I stated before is from ICS. 59 gigatons is from stardestroyer.net and they did some calculations based upon what is seen of TLs in the movies). Combine that with shields that have an energy output equivalent to a small star(wookieepedia article on imperial-II star destroyer) and there's really no hope for the battlecruiser. : IIRC turbolaser batteries firepower is around 200 gigatons per shot, super MAC rounds impact with a fraction of that amount of power and they are the UNSC's most powerful weapon, capable of punching a hole clean through a Covenant ship that has it's shields up. Covenant ships have also been taken down by groups of UNSC ships firing several smaller MAC rounds, sometimes as few as 2-3 IIRC. Those smaller guns have even less power than super MAC's and are still capable of taking down a Covenant ship's shields and making it unsuitable for combat in a single exchange.

Granted the MAC rounds have to actually hit the Covenant ship and it takes a good deal more than 2-3 shots to harm the largest Covenant craft, but it is still doable by the UNSC, though it usually comes at the cost of a number of their own ships. The ISD is more powerful than any UNSC or Covenant ship (that isn't built by the Forerunners) by several orders of magnitude. : yeah that's kinda true, as powerful as turbolasers r. Wait, can a supercarrier withstand a Super MAC?.

Wtf u serious man? What you think. Really, because the weakest covenant ships this means the covenant cruisers are the ones that die to the huge metal slugs being thrown at them, they literally smash through the covies shields. : this well renowned website called stardestroyer.net calculated the yield of a regular turbolaser to be 59 gigatons per shot. 200 gt seems a better estimate for medium TLs. I've heard on several forums that heavy TLs range in the teratons. When watching the movies, u can see the TLs firing about 1-2 shots per second, making their ROF a lightning fast 60-120rpm.

Now the fastest ROF I've seen for a Super MAC is 1 shot every 5 seconds, IF they use power from ground generators or something like that(it's on halo nation). Their yield is only calculated at 51.56 gigatons(halo nation), just 8 gt short of a regular TL. Super MACs r only on ODPs. ISDs have 50 regular TLs, and 50 heavy TLs, each firing with that super quick ROF.

Star Wars Republic Light Cruiser

:I get your point, I was just posting more info.:P Yeah, they are outdated by the time of the GE.I would think they would have variable yields.: I do not trust any calcs posted on a forum taken after the fictions name. I will, by default, not trust SW calcs posted in a site called 'Stardestroyer', just as I will not trust Naruto calcs from any Naruto forums or DBZ calcs from DBZ forums. I would closer trust it on more of a 'neutral' site like SpaceBattles. That said, if you are debating using ICS then 59 would fit just fine.
