Hi all,First thing first, I refused to upgrade to Windows 10 pro from Windows 7. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to come back to my computer after sleeping and BAM Windows 10 was installed and ready to go.Secondly, I attempted to revert back to Windows 7 immediately and what do you know, 'We're sorry, but you can't go back. The files we need to take you back were removed.' Awesome!Since that glorious upgrade, I have run into a boat load of issues.My other issue:Now that I'm stuck on Windows 10, I decided to make a fresh install.

Saved my important documents on a Thumb Drive, then wiped everything. Once I wiped my hard drive and had a fresh Windows 10 Pro install, I wanted to transfer my important files (only about5 gb) to my fresh install on my hard drive.I also get a message saying 'Do you want to copy this folder without encryption' 'A problem is preventing this folder from being encrypted.' (It's a css file)I hit 'Yes.' Then on the.css fileI get this really cool message saying 'File Access Denied' 'You need permission to perform this action' 'You Require permission from Everyone to make changes to this file'Basically nothing will copy over.Here's what I have tried:I am the only user on my computer, I have gone into my security of my hard drive and set security for 'Authenticated Users', 'System' 'Administrators' and 'Users' to full access.I have changed the 'Owner' under advanced to my user account: 'Hayden'.I have tried to do the same under the thumb drives' properties, but there is NO security tab. Therefore, I can't use the 'Full Ownership' thing on the thumb drive.Not sure what to do now.

I am stuck.P.S. This 'ish never happened on Windows 7.

In my case I can copy files onto a USB drive on one computer when logged into a non-administrator account. When I try to copy that file off the flash driveI am first requested to provide administrator permission, and after providing that I'm told that 'you require permission from Everyone to make changes to this file'. This happens if I am logged into a different computer as the same user who originally createdthe file, if I'm logged into either computer as an administrator, or if I'm logged into a different non-administrator account.There is no security tab available to even check what ownership/access information there might be. Both run clean on both machines.More information that may matter:. The problem is with a USB flash drive that is protected with BitLocker. The files that I can't move or access all happen to be.ods (open document spreadsheet) files.

Copying the files again to other locations on the drive fails consistently. Zipping the files (with 7Zip) and then copying the resulting.7z file to the flash drive works exactly as expected. I can unzip the contents on the other machine and even delete the.7z file when I'm done.For what it's worth, the flash drive was mounted while the scans were run. I switched to a different USB drive that was formatted FAT32 without BitLocker, just in case that was a complication.

The problem was unchanged: certain file extensions (.ods,.rfp,.rfo) are unreadable on multiple computers and multiple users. Other fileextensions (.7z) are readable.I then tried the clean boot that Michael Gall suggested on the computer that creates the problem files. After a clean boot the files are created without a problem and readable on other computers and by other users. I did not do a clean boot on either ofthese computers.In order to clean boot I disabled 5 services in Task Manager and 24 in msconfig. I'm going to now spend some time trying out combinations of these to see which service(s) are the source of the problem.

My SSD drive is almost fullI copied the “Program Files” and “Program Files (x86)” folders to the SDATA (D) drive to make roombut I can’t delete the first folders off of the OS (C:) driveplease advise!

I used this method to finally get rid of theme pictures and background pictures that Big Brother Windows had decided I shouldn’t be able to delete if I want to. On my my laptop running Win10 Home, when I Right click on the folder and select “Properties” from context menu, I can’t even get it to open up a window where I can wrest control over the folder away from TrustedInstaller.I’m trying to overwrite a defective copy of cleanmgr.exe on this pc with a good cleanmgr.exe from another Win10 pc.
