The helicopter gets blown up by Claire, so Leon B will find the Crank behind the helicopter corrider.

Claire never goes behind the van that Leon pushes as it hasn't happened yet. Birkin chases you out of the R.P.D into the sewers and consequently infects Sherry. Infected Sherry gets left in the security room locked behind her (Leon B is unable to enter this room to pickup any of the items or use the box).Lastly Annette dies just outside the giant moth room, giving you a file detailing how to go concoct a cure for Sherry.Leon B does not need the Spade Key (Located 2F Main Hall,) as it only grants access to a first aid spray.Leon A: You first meet Claire in the S.T.A.R.S Office.

You'll push the car granting access to the kennels, where Claire B will find her Crank. Similarly Leon will never get access to Chief Irons office as Claire hasn't blown the helicopter up yet. Claire B is chased out of the R.P.D by Tyrant, leaving Sherry uninfected (no further Birken interaction for Sherry.) You'll get an extra scene just before the sewers on Claire B, where she bumps into a shot Leon before giving chase to Annette. An injured Ada will be left in the security room, who leaves of her own accord allowing Claire B access to the box and items in there. IIRC Annette dies beside where you plug the main fuse in, giving no file as Sherry is never infected in Claire B.Claire B does require picking up the Spade Key to access the lighter.Both characters also have slightly different places they get attacked by Tyrant for example; Claire B gets attacked after using the Crank on the 3F, whilst Leon can take the shortcut down to the car park. Leon has more interactions with Tyrant throughout his B scenario though.

The 4 scenarios are actually all different. Both As, both Bs and both 'character exclusive' scenarios are similar and even share a lot of items and enemies but they all end up being very different.

Particularly by the end, going from Leon A to Claire B and viceversa tell a much richer story than just going through the game once or twice.RE2 is one of the only game where I've actively tried to do everything. All 4 scenarios are worth playing in my book, because they all tell parts of the same story and the events that overlap each other allow you to chose which one you view as the real story. Obviously there's a canon path, but if you've ever read the novel by Something Perry I like to think that it went that way. Neither path is fully canon, just like with BIOHAZARD/biohazard rebirth and BIOHAZARD 3: Last Escape it is left up to the player (and following entries) to establish what is significant.Q3. Both of them, of course. To digress, we really wanted to show off the merits of the zapping system, so we cut out elements of diversion from this game. We did this because by having 4 different zapping story scenarios, we felt that players would have to play through the branching story a number of times in order to see everything. Just arrived in the factory and I loved how the scenarios interlap between A-B.

The hole that mutated William poked through the elevator-ish vehicle(to who knows what it's called) that made Ada uncoscious was definitely there when it was Claire and Sherry's time to ride it. It also fascinating to see the storage room where Leon gets off before being shot by Annette is connected with Claire's route beneath the sewers, had it backtracked for the additional items.

It is similar to the original: there are minor differences and most of them are in the first 20-30 and last 3-5 minutes here. But you do the exact same puzzles and witness most of the same events, minus the character-specific ones (but those are the same on one character's A and B scenario, like in the classic).Some people claim the A/B system here is even more identical to each other than in the original, which is true to a degree, but it is not that much more identical (the original had different first bosses and Anette's death in one scenario was more implied to make the real one a bit more credible, that is its only large advantage).
